Benton Scott-Simmons is a landscape architecture consultancy specialising in finding creative
solutions to design challenges in both urban and rural environments. Senior designers working at BS-S
are accustomed to working from the very largest, regional scale down to the most detailed and human
scale. With our additional experience in urban design we approach design of (we approach the design
and assessment of) the external environment multi-dimensionally and holistically.
The practice was established in 2013 by Janet Benton BSc (Hons) MPhilLA CMLI and Laura Scott-Simmons
BA (Hons) DipLA CMLI. Although our core business is landscape architecture and urban design, we also draw upon a network of independent consultants that includes planners, regeneration and consultation specialists, environmental planners and ecologists, technical specialists, drawing production specialists and illustrators. Many of the individuals involved have worked together for over a decade and have developed a productive, collaborative working style. We are accustomed to assembling experienced teams tailored to the specific requirements of individual projects and we are happy to work as lead consultant or as part of a team.
